Jesus Christ shines bright at the 4th BOMU Awards

The 4th BOMU awards were delivered on a gold platter. With a budget of what one of the hosts labelled as "close to one meter," the awards left a lot of the people in attendance yearning for more.
Kagiso Ntime described the Botswana of Botswana as the biggest spender on the awards, through the Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture, with P500 000 or so, followed by Brand Botswana which decided to spend more than P100 000. The bright lights, the colourful and energetic performances by the artists had the audience hungering for more.
After displaying a JESUS IS LORD poster several times, Vee wa Mampeezy gave a stunning performance. Giving another great performance at the end of the night, after winning the Song of the Year award for his song, Shapa Low. Though his performance was very short, ATI did not disappoint his fan base which seemed to have been made up mostly by the female audience.
Jojo officially became the Lady Gaga of Botswana. With a performance that left the audience's mouths agape and at the edge of their seats. Nothing to do with the world's association of Gaga to satanism.
Nnunu and MMP, amongst others, also did not disappoint in their performances.
This yearning for more was probably also, mostly influenced by Joel, commonly known as Ntsoro.
The former gospel singer and Mokaragana presenter came out guns blazing with his quick and witty remarks. No one was safe. The audience witnessed as some of the targeted celebrities took a bit of an offense, but at the end of the night, reflecting, the celebrities will realize that it was just jokes. Made to entertain.
The biggest laugh came when the 5 time nominated duo Groove Cartel came to get their award.
Ntsoro described one of the talented beings as being light skinned and the other member as "close to being light skinned." As the duo left the stage, Ntsoro used the accent mostly commonly associated with the first citizen of Botswana to address Groove Cartel's member. Whom he insinuated looks like the first citizen. He concluded by telling him to join "him" in parliament.
Ntsoro also integrated his knowledge of the Bible in his humour. Making sure the repented souls in attendance were not left out. He did not stop short from praying in tongues every now and then. Making everyone realize that church and the word of God is not entirely "boring" and it's welcoming even to the hip.
"We are about to find out who has been eating the least." He said when the gospel awards were being given to their Caesars.
"Re ta bona yo neng a itima dijo go heta ba bangwe. Go jela ruri ke gwa eng mo baruting?"
Tshepo Lesole walked out with the most awards. Including one honoring his studio, High Note Studios.
The top 7 awards which were chosen by the public and everyone else that the artists bought airtime for came out like this. Best Album of the Year - Nnunu Mma Senoko, Best Female Artist - Nnunu, Best Male Artist - Vee, Best Duo/Group - Groove Cartel, Best New Comer - Benson Phuthego, Best Club DJ - Fondo Fire and Song of the Year went to Vee for Shapa Low.
